In the exhibition titled Recoil / Tepme opening on January 20th, the photographer brings together moments that commingle his life and career in cities like Istanbul, Ankara and Stockholm. Themes in art and in life such as ‘witnessing’, ‘muteness’, ‘enticement’, ‘flesh’, ‘birth’ and ‘death’ play out before our eyes around an axis of almost autobiographical realism.
