Artist Talk by SSCA - Ahmet Elhan @ Empire
Ahmet Elhan is the first guest in the lecture series hosted by The Society in Support of Contemporary Art. He will be at Empire on saturday 14th May. The lecture is about Ahmet Elhan’s new works, making up the “İkililer/ Diptychs” exhibition, both question and articulate the ontological structure of photography as a media. By deconstructing the trademark singular perspective of traditional photography ontology, Elhan formulates the framework of his own photographic discourse within a subjective understanding of reality. Contradictory to de-facto photographic discourse these works continuously affect and direct our visual perceptions, forcing us to question our visual intake against subjective reality.
