Mine Anafarta

Mine Anafarta (1978), mixed media collage/new media artist based in Istanbul, TR.

Anafarta makes digital collages and combines them with analog collages, ephemera, drawing, photography, writing, animation, video and performative elements.

In her collages, Anafarta works with the themes of femininity, nature, social identity, and relationships. She layers recycled mass culture elements with typographical bits, echoing ad slogans and the sarcasm of memes to create ironic works that reflect the hidden facets of the human psyche.
