Nathalie Mamboury

Born in Bodrum (1977). Works and lives between Istanbul and Paris.

The artist  likes to venture into the bizarre by removing forms from their routine environment and arranging them in an unexpected  context which  might seem   normal at first glance.


But togetherness of the isolated form even if it comes directly from nature with the made up absurd slowly leads to disturbance.

As the male and the female characteristics merge the hidden complications slowly begin to emerge.

The acceptable appearance  harbors doubts and the hints  of the underlying relationships force you to notice  the uneasy side of what previously seemed perfectly harmonious scenario.

EĞİTİM

1995-1996 Marmara Üniversitesi Güzel Sanatlar Fakültesi Heykel Bölümü
1996-2000  Mimar Sinan Üniversitesi Güzel Sanatlar Fakültesi Heykel Bölümü
2000-2002  Mimar Sinan Üniversitesi Güzel Sanatlar Fakültesi Heykel Bölümünde yüksek lisansa devam etti.
1996-2001  Bilsak Mehmet Güleryüz Atölyesinde Renk - Desen - Tasarım - Kompozisyon öğrenimi gördü.
2001-2003  Yılları arasında aynı atölyede master yaptı.
